Hello,

I bought a 1.5 terabyte SD card and tried to format my switch using the Hekate (I've tried using both the stable version and the latest version of Hekate) partition manager. The partition manager seems to freeze and I'm unable to proceed with switch modding process. Has anyone encountered this and found a way to solve this?

Start by using H2TestW to check if your card really is 1.5TB.
They are still rare and expensive.
For reference : A Sandisk 1.5TB costs about $110
So if you got a real good bargain for like $12 then it is likely not 1.5TB.

Hekate and other programs assume that the card size is valid but if you try to use it, a kinds of weird stuff happens.

I tested the card and is confirmed to be around 1.5 TB. I bought it from Sandisk. It can't seem to partition the SD card as it freezes upon reaching the partition menu. Could partitioning the SD card into multiple different partitions work?

Found a solution: if you go into Nyx.ini in the bootloader and then set bpmpclock to 3 that seems to solve the issue and allow the SD card to continue formatting!
