Just answered.
I'm busy making tools easy to use. This time in a EXE format, not BAT and they do all the process automatically: IMD5 header, IMET header, LZ77 compress, etc... In 30 seconds I get a fully working/brick proof banner file from unpacked TPL's, BRLYT and BRLAN files

That what it does. One packs the banner.bin and icon.bin files into a U8 file and LZ77 compresses it.
Another one adds the IMD5 header to those files.
And finally, it packs them(banner.bin, icon.bin & sound.bin) into the main U8 file and adds the IMET header.

All that without programming skills

Easy Banner Maker - BETA2

This tool will pack the "arc" directory of "banner.bin" and "icon.bin", LZ77 compress them and IMD5 them. Then it packs the main U8 file and adds the IMET header. All in less than 1 minute and no errors(if the 010 Editor is set up correctly, as the README explains)

If you want to pack a diferent banner, just replace the "arc" folder in the "b" or "i"(banner or icon) for the one you wish to use, and run the Banner Maker.


Note: This is a BETA. It will make a bad banner if 010 Editor isn't set up correctly. Do not touch the mouse or keyboard during all the process, because it takes control over them to do it all. Use always the provided ISO to test the banner without risk of bricking.

The ISO has a banner that these tools have made, and haven't had to make ANY modification to it to get it working. It works great, and includes sound

You can change the sound.bin file for another one if you wish.
