How many of them are left? How many people are still doing Pay 2 Play?

Every new MMO I find is always free. Even old MMOs like Rose Online that used to be P2P are now free.

Obviously WoW is still P2P and FF11, but how many more are there? Are there still new ones being made other than FF14?

It seems that the whole P2P thing has become obsolete lately.

Rose only went free because no one liked the new Evolution client so they were losing more money than they were bringing in (yah I'm knowledgeable with Rose

).

Anyways, I kinda like P2P more even if I can't afford most of them. The reason is because micro transactions (premium items) cost so much more and mess up the game. Like this fun game Talesrunner is free to play, and it's a game where you race. But when they released premium items that make you go faster the whole game was messed up.

Yeah, you can ruin your business like that. Most companies do it intelligently and sell things that don't affect (at least largely) gameplay. I'm not exactly an avid MMOer anymore, but I know that GW sells decorative things, and I think that Perfect World sells negligible things.

You should wait for Guild Wars 2! (but that's, pay once, play forever ofc)
I'm sooooooooooo going to play that. Can't fucking wait.
