A 8800 GTX can run the game with very high graphics.
But you also need a very good processor for it to work.

No. An 8800 Ultra which is better than the GTX can't, how can a weaker model max crysis? Also Guess what there is a difference from Very High and Max in Crysis o.O No card on the Market currently can max out crysis. Period.

very high is the highest setting you can set in Crysis. there is no such max setting.
And a 8800 Ultra can play the game , maybe you are just too stupid to configurate your system.

An 8800 Ultra Can NOT max crysis at decent resolutions with decent framerates. It can max crysis at crappy resolutions like 800x600 but the detail won't even be noticeable at such low res. Maybe You need to actually buy the card to realize you CAN NOT max out crysis( ALL SETTINGS on Very High/High ) At anything higher than like 1024x768 which is a pathetic resolution to begin with. I know what I'm takling about here. You seem to be the stupid one as your only source is a forum.

My card can fucking run it on high, if you force the very high settings to render in DX9 instead of DX10 (they look identical) it will perform much better

Lol, I find it funny that people can't consider max as very high in crysis. If what you say as max is editing the cvars and adding custom config files, then I guess it'll take a long time before something comes out that can literally max the cryengine2 since with editing the configs I could have an infinite draw distance on the environment and shadows, a crap load of particles on screen, very very high AA at a very high resolution etc etc. I don't think the performance hit/quality improvement over very high would be worth it.

Judging by your horrid spelling and how you think you can get DX10 effects with a DX9 card, I know for a fact you don't know what your talking about. 8800GXT? Wow never heard of it. And incase you didn't know 1440x900 is only ''more'' than 1280x1024 horizontally. Last time i checked 1024 was bigger than 900.
