Yes, aslong as you can open the browser it will work.

Set your Primary DNS to: 045.055.142.122
Then (quickly) click on Custom Site (or something similar) and when the REMx Server is running (download in the bottom of tutorial description) enter your PC's IP address and port 8081

What do you mean by that? If you mean you only see the taskbar. Try opening something e.g. an emulator. Some programs (desktop, google chrome) will show up white or black so try things out.

I would reccomend downloading some application to bind the controls.

lul maybe. You should change the thread to credit the people on the sourceforge site, and just link it there. He just made a config for it, set it to autostart w/ the custom port.
