Hi all,

I've been out of the loop for a good few months, and want to play the newer games, particularly Cadence of Hyrule.

Here is my current switch setup:

Firmware 5.1.0 with autoRCM enabled (updated via ChoidujourNX)
SX OS v2.5.3

I've never used emuNAND..

Can I ask the simplest way to update, and what is the latest version safe to go to?

Many thanks :)

Update your SX OS to latest version which I believe is 2.6.2 and the use Choidujour to update to 8.0.1, just don't disable autoRCM and youll be fine

Thanks, I take it emuNAND is not worth it? Also are we caring about blowing fuses anymore? I 'think' mine are blown up to 4.x
Cheers

If you have a clean nand backup from before you did any piracy then yeah emuNAND can be a thing of use, specially if you are looking to use the same switch to access online on OFW and then play whatever you have on you emuNAND (althought there is no real guarantee that Nintendo won't ban you) About fuses it is always good to be able to return to an older version in case anything changes so keeping the fuse count low is something I'd advise to keep considering when doing updates. Choi+autoRCM will allow you to update your nand without blowing fuses.

Honestly, if you don't care about online play, just ignore emuNAND.

I'm on 6.2.0 and i want to play Cadence of Hyrule aswell, tried repack it with ReNXpack, and it correctly repacks it, but it won't install on the switch no matter what. I've read on XCI Explorer that despite MasterKey0 is the current one, so the repack was successful, the game require 6.6.0 SDK, while according to goldleaf Firmware 6.2.0 is for SDK 6.2.0-1
Is absolutelly no way to make it work without updating?

Not sure, as I have not repacked any game but what's the point of holding back on 6.2.0 if you can run 8.0.1 without issues in all CFW? Just use autoRCM and choi to avoid burning fuses.

Thanks, I’m not interested in online stuff, I’ve got no mates

Just play BOTW and some indie games

i already updated from 5.1.0 without burning and it's going ok, but im one of those guys fearing that updates bring bugs.
in fact, i waited till the real end of 5.1.0 before updating, i repacked every game i could.
Anyway i got the game working, turns out goldleaf and tinfoil.io have problems with repacked games (atleast for me) i used the old tinfoil and it installed flawlessly, and starts fine

Ok, then just Choi+autoRCM and go all the way to 8.0.1, remeber to update your SX OS files to latest version.

Hmm ok so updated to 8.0.1 with autoRCM via ChoidujourNX, and updated the controllers. I can launch all Cadence of Hyrule fine, and all other games.

But only Zelda BOTW is giving a "Could not start software - Please try again from the Home menu" error.

If I try again it says "Corrupted data has been detected. Please run a check for corrupt data" , which then finds corrupt data.

I already backup up my saves with Checkpoint, should I delete/reinstall?
Now using SXOS 2.7.1.
Thanks

Update - deleted the game and reinstalled via SXOS installer and it's working again. It even saved my save games which I didn't expect.
