Can someone help me with a problem I have faced? I want to go online through scene dump of ORAS. i know that you have to patch a header and stuff to the rom. However, I alrady have a save file. How would I patch the rom without corrupting the save on the ORAS rom? Thank you in advance for helping me.

You don't unfortunately. Gotta pick either your current save or playing online

Just export the save with savedatafiler, add the header, delete your save in-game, start new game and save, replace main file in that save with earlier exported save and then import it.

Would i add the header to the file called main?

Save data filer fixes the header encryption mismatches? That's awesome!

I think SaveDataFiler decrypts the data (which is why PkHex and stuff can be used), so what happens is that the re-encryption is based on the new id.

Yes, but it only works for games like pokemon since they're card2. With most games it's still as you said.
Well it's not so much the encryption that's the problem there, just that it can't read the save file from the Gateway at all for Card1.

Wow so it means it's possible now to get your old 3ds save to work on a 3dz rom after patching it? I still have my old Pokemon Y offline game and really don't want to play all from the beginning again after patching it.
