Erm....since you didn't actually post a question, other than wondering if this is the right forum to post the unasked question, I'll just say this and hope it answers the question you forgot to ask.

First of all, yes, this was the correct forum for asking question about the DS hardware.

Now I will speculate what you were gonna ask.....

The light being orange is normal when charging. It will go off when the battery is fully charged.

It is normal for the light to never go off if you are playing the DS while it's charging. It will go off when you shut down, if it has reached full charge.

When not charging your DS.....
Your DS will show a green light when is has sufficient charge to play games, the light will turn red when it gets low.

Don't know if any of that answers the question you meant to ask, but hope that helps you anyway.

You people are blind.
He's got the DS opened up and he's trying to fix the orange light not working. (The warranty is up...)
At least, that's what I gather from the entirely missing other part of his question.
F2 (Fuse Two) and Battery refer to wires (terminals?) inside the DS.

My advice: If you can't figure it out yourself, you can't fix it.

Try and replace the battery first, borrow your friends or anybody who care about you...
if that not the case then mostly F2 (or both F1 and F2) is your problem, bridge it using the traces.

(The F1 and F2 fuses will be on different places on the mobo however, so you will have to do a little bit of searching to find them.)

Recommended used a multimeter and test the F1 and F2 fuses.
If one is blown and not the other, leave the good one alone, and bridge only the blown one.

Heres what I meant when I turn on my ds lite it does nothing happens.
Days ago it the screen flash then would turn off every time I would turn it on.

Then I tried to charge it the light turns orange. My friend said no when asked him
if I could test his battery on my ds lite. Anyways going to do both now.

You always have an orange light when charging...

When you turn it on do either of the screens flash (and if so which one(s)?)

If one screen flashes but the other doesn't it indicates a problem with the non-flashing screen, if neither/both flash then something else is a problem

try buying a new battery, it could be dead, especially if your DS is old and/or you use it a lot.

it sounds like a battery issue to me anyway, even if playing when plugged in the power will normally go into the battery and then be used to make the DS run.
