One of my latest projects is OpenFA (Open Fresh Adventures), an engine that supports Kinder & Ferrero Fresh Adventures and will make it playable in current PCs as well as making the game easily portable to consoles. (original game needed 16 MB of RAM, It's so small that It's feasible), the goal is to preserve the original game's feeling as well as making it a bit more modern by today's standards.

I don't think that many foreigners will know this, although in Italy it was quite popular at the time and I consider it a childhood game of mine. The game was only released in Germany, Austria and Italy though.

Current status:
Main game is done, all the levels are playable from start to finish. I'm currently in the polish phase because there are some things that need to be tweaked. Then I'll release the built artifact.

Main changes from the original:
The game preserves the physics (jumps, projectiles and such) and will play almost exactly like the original. The main changes are made toward the controls being more responsive, as well as enemies/projectiles having better hitboxes. This does give a better feel to the game.

Extras:
- Controller support: the original game had no controller support.
- Local Co-op. The original game has the player swap between Kinder Pinguì and Kinder Milchnitte/Fettalatte depending on the obstacles they would encounter. In this case you have a mode to control both separately. Don't worry though, Fettalatte/Milchnitte has a teleport button to get closer to Kinder Pinguì for gameplay reasons.

Planned:
The game has no customizable options whatsoever. At the moment the following things are planned:
- Audio sliders for music, effects and voices
- Buttons rebind
- Difficulty changes between normal, hard and super hard
- Swap between new and old sounds (the game had two releases, one with each level released separately, and a complete collection, which came a year later and had some minor changes)
- Swap between ITA/DE audio, if the game detects the right folder.

Difficulty settings:
I'm very careful at adding this because I want to see how it plays out first, since on paper it seems alright, but I may change my idea depending on how frustrating the game becomes:
Normal:
- Enemies will shoot 1-3 projectiles randomly. Bosses have their own shooting patterns.
Hard:
- Enemies will shoot 1-5 projectiles
- You will consume twice the ammos
- 1.5x score multiplier
Super Hard:
- Same as hard
- You'll receive double damage
- Shooting aggressiveness is also applied to bosses
- 5x multiplier
