What exactly was wrong with the touch screen then? (I use it a lot on both my ds and dsi and never noticed anything wrong )

There was a small calibration issue that some people were having. This supposedly fixes that.

I was one of those affected. Essentially it was impossible to operate the touchscreen controls because it acted as if the calibration was offset in random directions by at least an inch.

I believe there was a button patch produced by a third party, but by then I bought a PSP and its emulators are superior to anything on the DS in every way. I'm glad to see some progress being made on it anyway.
