Hacking Online 3DS Roms?

I've seen 3DS roms on sites, that are online-patched..... Should I trust it and is patching roms possible?

Public headers may block your 3ds from connecting network.
Buy a game, dump a header and inject it to another game.

They are not online patched, you need to use your own header, you'll be banned if you don't.

I'll 2nd all what was said above, public headers really aren't safe, I can guess where you've seen them online patched & I 100% wouldn't use one of them, getting your ow private header is easy enough & the safest you can be playing a 3ds rom online.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of ban happen if you get caught ?
Do they ban your whole 3DS somehow or just the incriminated game ?

Your console gets banned from using any online services for a particular amount of time.
