Hacking on 5.05 exploit . Games asking for update before launch . Picture inside

Hi all

I have installed 5.05 exploit firmware on my ps4 .
everything so far so good
today , i noticed that upon starting games, they show this .

i have chosen update later, and seem fine

any idea?

It seem like your system downloaded a higher version firmware, that you have a pending firmware require you to update before allowing you to launch any games, solution to this is to do a full wipe using the recovery file.

Before doing this I suggest ftp in delete the pending update.pup and change dns to azifs.

Try option 6 first if that doesn't work use option 7 by using the recovery file for 5.05

Just Initialize. It'll wipe the ps4 to factory state. After that. First setup the dns. That blocks updates. Then go onto whatever.

i used FTP , and i was able to see few updates
orbis and some others

I deleted all

now it`s working well

I do have some concerns about Azif`s DNS , as when i test internet connection , it says successful

anyway , i may format soon to be on the safe side

I've had this issue. I can't recall how I fixed it. however, I think I blocked the urls from sony, then reset the system. there may be more steps, but I did fix it.

Does formatting remove activated files, i.e. will you lose acces to MediaPlayer, Youtube etc? Or will they after the format still work? thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure activated files will no longer work.

I have no idea how you managed that because if you're using the local DNS and have entered the DNS IP settings in the guide, the internet connection should fail. It would have no way to connect to your ISP's DNS. Maybe you're using the web page method rather than the local DNS.

Really, i have no clue.
Atm iam using the block method via azif's exploit.

To be honest, iam so afraid now to test internet,, just in case it re-download the update.

I will keep you guys posted in this thread in the future.

I just read on reddit that azif was down over the last few hours

I believe that most likely during that time. My ps4 got the update, as azif's dns was not working.
