So, I am using the old OS and noticed that there are a few tabs on the top of the top screen. How exactly do I access them? I tried using the touch screen (pressing in the analogous place where the tabs are on the top screen) but that didn't work...

Mainly because I don't want to lose the ability to open images or to play audio files...

You can get moonshell? although if you don't want to have open homebrew Then good luck using the old OS

Hold R and use the D-Pad to access the menus when they are on the top screen, or swap the screens and use touch.

What I did was edit the config file so the top screen is always on the bottom and you can run both OS on the same card. Just launch MSFORSC.NDS to go into the old OS.

Better compatibility. Just use the new OS, it looks and feels better. And works better, too! Also, tomorrow apparently there is an update for the EOS so I suggest you wait for that one

If you need help on installing the EOS, check the FAQ I made (sticky in this section)
