I have an old apple device that has served me well over the years but it has several screen replacements. Sometimes during use, it does not properly detect touches or starts to freak out when I'm not even touching it. typing things and almost sending things that don't need to be sent... I know a thing or two about screen replacements. so was wondering if it needs a whole new screen or should I just reseat the wires inside the phone? I cant tell please someone let me know.

you don't need a new lcd touch screen itself, but just the touch digitizer since that is a little piece of glass that can sense where your touches are, and the touch sensitivity can break pretty easily depending on how you drop it

Perhaps a glass replacement??
Or should I try reseating
