Homebrew Old 3DS NRTboot not working

My 3DS was bricked (just black screen, but the leds are working). I ordered a flashcart (R4i GOLD RTS) and it arrived today. I already flashed it using my DSi. Now I didn't put safebs9installer on it, but godmode9 (because I want to unbrick it). But when I boot it up holding start+select+x+power with the flashcart inserted, as soon as I release the key combo, the led will just fade away and my 3ds shuts down. nothing boots up, nothing happens. just nothing. any fix to this?

Are you using the latest release of ntrboot_flasher?

Did u use magnet? , u need a magnet.
What type of brick, it won't work if u got a MCU brick btw

I used the latest release of ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher and selected "R4i Gold" in the menu.

And yes I used a magnet and the magnet is correctly positioned and strong enough, because when I don't use a magnet it won't shut itself down.

That happened to me when I used the wrong version of boot9strap with the installer. Make sure you're using the ntr file, and make sure boot.firm and/or ntrboot.firm is/are on the root of the SD card.

What exactly do you mean? I already flashed my card using my DSi, so I can't reflash it. What should the "ntrboot.firm" be? Where should I place the boot9strap ntr files and should I rename them to something special?

Ok sometimes I really am stupid... I fixed the error. My sdcard was locked... I didn't notice it before because my sd-card reader in pc ignores it...

What exactly is a MCU brick? I thought that a mcu brick occurs when closing the lid on New 3DS on old firmware? I got that brick because in Decrypt9, I used the option to reflash a backup but without keeping cfw (I thought that would remove the cfw but it actually bricked my system...)

It can happen from other things (sending bad commands to the MCU for example), yellows8 I believe it was bricked his 3DS by messing with the notification LED.
Flashing a backup from before you installed CFW without the safe option would remove CFW. The NAND backup must have been bad or the SD card corrupted, as it shouldn't normally brick.
Flashing an emuNAND backup to sysNAND without the safe option can be dangerous too, if the emuNAND has had important parts of the system modified in any way (region changed, unbanned, modded home menu, that sort of thing)
