Hacking Old 3ds homebrew

I just moved and found my old 3ds from 2014-2015. It runs 9.4 and i was wondering since its so low, could i homebrew it? ive tried soundhax and it constantly restarts the app so i have no clue if im doing anything wrong

Make sure that you have everything required and correct for soundhax. If that doesn’t work, you could use Frogminer.

Try using Steelhax. It is a guaranteed homebrewey boi

The problem with that is the need for an update for the eshop. or is there another way

Frogminer works on the latest firmware, that being 11.8. Then, if you want, you could downgrade back.

So why not just update 99% of homebrew works on the latest firmware.

I always thought there was a significance of lower firmware but if its easier to just upgrade and then try so be it

About 4 years ago that was the case not anymore.

cant take a pic but it says "an error has occured forcing the software to close." "The system will now restart"
