Get your OTP while you're on version 1.0, before you update.

You got a 1.0 console? Don't touch it. Not yet, anyway. 1.0 is valuable. As it's the first and therefore most vulnerable system version, keeping it there would be of immense help to the whole community. Furthermore, if it's a demo device that's even more valuable. Please don't touch it at all... Don't even turn it on. The more pristine a dump we can get the better. Do you have a copy of the games Cubic Ninja, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, or Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon?

Your OTP, or 'One-Time Programmable', is the 100-byte random data store that, when obtained, can be used to achieve 'Arm9LoaderHax'- the greatest 3DS hax to date. It's really a simple method to install, however getting the OTP isn't, as you have to downgrade your console to version 2.1 or lower- when Nintendo forgot to make it so the OTP can't be obtained. This somewhat scary process is why many people don't install A9LH. However, since you are already on a version which can get the OTP, it's recommended that you go ahead and grab it while you can, so you don't have to go through that process.

Oh, EXCELLENT. Yes, you can indeed A. Dump your console 'NAND'- think of it as the consoles hard drive- and B. Dump your OTP. I believe that there is a special payload for dumping your 'OTP' and 'NAND' on version 1.0. However, you might be a special case, as I believe that you have a demo console. Correct? As for videos, there won't be a video for your case. Consoles like these are rare, and you in particular are a special case.

We can, however, guide you through the process with words.

Be sure to make a NAND dump first!

Alright, I've found the payload & QR code.
Extract the file below and place the files in it on the root of your SD Card.
Then, open Cubic Ninja and go to the 'Create' menu. Then, click 'QR Code', click 'Scan QR Code', and scan the QR Code found here: https://imgur.com/7Q35Tuy
Tell us what happens next, I don't actually know exactly what it does.

Do what Swiftloke said above first. It's best to take the NAND dump before anything else.

    .
As for what to do, just follow the instructions I gave above. The Homebrew Launcher isn't supposed to load in this case. Please follow my instructions, then tell us what happens.

I'm confident I can help you on my own but I'll tag @Plailect just in case.

@Swiftloke: wow, is it really necessary to give English lessons here and now? His/her English level is enough and easily understandable, keep in mind that it's not the universe's native language. You are really acting condescendant (especially with your "seals" that no one cares about, if you think a thread should not exist, report it to the mods and let THEM judge) and it kinda kills the fact that you are trying to help.

Anyway, just my two cents, I don't wanna start a long off-topic discussion. I just really hope that if you are going to help the guy/girl, you will do it out of kindness and without acting superior and sh*t (and sorry if it's some weird humour that I didn't get).

    /off-topic

Unpack the RAR Swiftloke attached above onto the root of your SD card, then scan this QR code in Cubic Ninja by clicking Create then QR code.
