Just had to use my 2nd continue in NSMB Wii, and I'm getting really frustrated that I get back to the beginning of the world then....
Goddamn I suck at this game!

Unbelievable, I'm in World 3 (yes, there!) and I had to use 2 Continues already.
For every level I need around 10 tries, if not more, and my mistakes just get dumber every time.
So now my question:
Any cheat for unlimited lives or 99 lives in the game?
I'm willing to give the game another try, but don't want to see that Continue screen again

Hey, atleast you got that far. I'm on like world 2 and have used about 3 continues and see the super guide at the start of every level. You should try going into those Toad places and getting the power ups and using them before levels, it helps me pass them sometimes.

Are you collecting the coins (big ones) or simply playing the game?
You should first complete it, then get the coins.

By doing that, I have 99 up now (world 8)

Or get the cannon of world 1, it will bring you to world 5

Yeah, I'm collecting everything I can, all the big coins too (if I find them).
Just hadn't much luck finding them yet

you don't need cheat for there are so many chances wherein you could get 99 lives even at world 1-1. i could dump my save game if you want to...5 star rank already...all star coins collected from world 1 to 9.

you could go to peach's castle and use your star coins there to view some hint videos.

edit: nah...i was thinking that it would be pointless if you use others' save game to beat a game and spoil the fun. the best thing is go to peach's castle to watch hint videos.

Tried that today, didn't work.
The shell just reacted as normal, starting shooting down.

Playing alone:
Breeze through levels, collect most coins, gain lives at steady rate until I have 99.

Playing with one other decent person:
Breeze through levels, collect all coins, gain lives at steady rate

Playing with four people:
Spending an hour on each level, all characters have used 10+ continues

Not sure about other methods of loading but if you load the game via Gecko - using the Home Brew Channel - then you can use cheats and there is one for 98 lives.

I've got like 20-30 lives, on the 4th or 5th world (the jungle-ish one soon after the ice one), and haven't used a single continue.

Just because I know about the cheats it does not mean I use them.

Personally - the only cheat I have used is the AP Fix - an dthis si what makes teh game work without errors.

I have the other cheats for when the kids play and want unlimited time, or unlimited items or lives. Somtimes they want to play as a different character other than mario in one player mode so I do this as well and make it so there is a permanent save completed when saved instead of quick save.

I much prefer to play with no cheats - better value and satisfaction.

Got a couple of more lives, but that's about it.
And for those lives, you still have to play a lot, and that's the frustrating part IMHO.

Yes, it does work. If you don't manage at first then go to the top of the stairs back to the pipe and then the "turtle" will come back. I have managed after 5 tries. And yes you can use cheats in USB Loader GX

What I don't have after failing 10+ times on some levels.

I'm gonna try that 99 lives trick again, hopefully it will works this time.
