Hacking Okami save file!

When playing Okami, please correct me if I'm wrong, from what I gather is that when creating a new game file the game crashes, but apparently if someone already had a save file that the game would load just fine and would be playable. If this is true then...

Would it be possible to distribute an Okami save file that starts off right at the beginning of the game?

Okami locks up whilst loading a save. I backed-up my legit disk, and attempted to load my save, and it just locks up while loading the level and stuff.
