any good guides on how to switch to that, once you already are on using reinx? can you still use all the games/saves that were installed and used on reinx?

my nephew did exactly what I told him NOT to do, connnected to the internet. now the switch is on 10.2.0 with "KIP hash not found".

-nevermind, this guide was simple and all working fine now

Use the AIO update
@Homlet has a fantastic homebrew app

yeah its official, ReiNX has been archived

Rei has not touched her switch in months + the new drama about all of the arrests being made and Nintendo getting more sticky with everything is enough reason to pull out

This will be the official thread for things related to ReiNX.

What is ReiNX?:
Its a modular custom firmware for the Nintendo Switch that uses 'smart' patching for future proofing and just works™

Features:
  • Loads all KIPs from /ReiNX/sysmodules/ directory
  • Optional custom kernel/secmon/warmboot
  • Default kips with exefs redir from /ReiNX/title/{tid}
Future plans:
I want to maintain the modularity of the codebase and focus on custom sysmodules.

Oh I miss this CFW, was my favorite. Hopefully some developer could make a cfw based on it

Okay, so mario world 3d wasnt able to start. Read something about neccesary FW upgrade. Upgraded to 10.2.0. cause ReiNX Homepage said it is compatible until 10.X. => Got error KIP Hash not found etc. Searched solution. ...
Switched to atmo. Nearly all games report "Data damaged" and wont start anymore. Used Repair function in the switch menu. No Success, but games will start now again, at least some of which i tested (including Mario World 3D).
How to fix the data error ?
How to install XCI now? As far as i know only ReiNX was able to do so.

Get the latest atmo sigpatches for how you boot.

Tinfoil should be able to install xci

Without much to set it apart from Atmosphere and less frequent updates, it was only a matter of time before it was put down. Maybe it would've gone further if the default branding wasn't so niche and if there was less reliance on Atmosphere's development to release updates.

What made me stick with ReiNX until it got discontinued was the fact that the set up was a lot more straightforward, I would just decompress the zip in the SD, load the payload and everything would be working just fine. Not that AMS is particularly complicated, but it did take me more time to set it up properly. But perhaps I'm just dumb.
