I recall reading something about a potential solution for lower fw users to play higher fw titles, or a streamlined way to update without burning fuses. Was i imagining this or is it something in the works ?

No no there is a guide somewhere here on the temp to update without burning fuses, also if you do follow it make sure you do all the nand backup options and if you are using windows 10 you need to copy files with totalcommander f5 option

I use your program all the time" it works great!!" But can you please add support to your meme as it keeps erasing my apps in my switch folder, I am using a 512gb sd card. Verbatim..

SD card removing without being forced to reboot Switch, when?! :(

Hotswapping is a dangerous thing. Probably never because the switch uses data that might be located on the sd card. Even if it's just a dlc/small update.

EDIT: and plus, you wouldn't want to corrupt that sd card, would you? Especially if data is being read/written off of it while ejecting.

The 3ds managed it with gm9 so I don't see why it shouldn't be at least feasible to be able to enable hot swapping

I have a 4.1 Switch and installed some back ups using ReiNX. Every one of them is telling me I need a system update to run, but I'm positive they don't.

Am I doing something dumb?

GodMode9 is a separate OS/baremetal running on the 3DS, so you can hotswap with no problems while running GodMode9. If you hotswapped on the 3DS while running Horizon you might get your StreetPass, SpotPass, SD-installed games, savedata, or extra data corrupted, or in the case of EmuNAND, the rest of the system would hang, and EmuNAND data may be corrupted.
Horizon OS on the Switch has the same problem.

ahh cool, thanks for the info, wasn't entirely sure, but maybe in the future an unmount/mount script will be made for it but who knows *shrug*

Hi, somebody knows is the devmenu works on reiNX?
No, AFAIK....It hasn't been implemented yet.

Unheard of??
Do you know why it's getting erased??

This is not the first time this has happened.
Another person had the same problem, but he solved it by ftping to it.(Didn't work for me.)

Besides you thinking it's a joke are you and your team going to explore that avenue?

Nope, still need to use the layered FS option

Forgot to mention I'm pretty sure the new stash installs dlc and updates, don't quote me on that tho

Right of course, it could be possible, but it seems like the switch itself relies on the sd card (when applicable) much more than the 3ds did. There's not even an option to eject the sd card while it's on, without the switch forcing you to restart the console.

I'm surprised they didn't choose to make you have to open something up in order to swap sd cards.

Are you 100% sure it is not one of these fakes that you can buy cheap ?
Almost every time I heard of a 512Gb Verbatim sd card, it was a fake and files where deleted after some time (when the REAL capacity of the SD was reached).

I'll check it out.

If you build it correctly it will.

No, AFAIK....It hasn't been implemented yet.

Have you tried redownloading hbmenu? Maybe yours is corrupt.
