Just dont use your own cert for any downloads (no, sorry, not gonna help with that), and keep your NX offline. No issues then if you restore OFW.

Freeshop uses its own Cert. Not yours. But you can be banned.

You still need to update using one of the fuse-preserving methods in the tutorials section. ReiNX will prevent your fuses from burning when you boot the updated firmware.

With someone else's? Then you both would risk getting banned. Unless you're saying to spoof the certificate which we kind of can't do since Nintendo are the ones who decide which certs are valid in the first place.

No both NSPs do this. I can try another NSP and see if it’s still happening. Should I delete the old modules and Kip files from my old Hekate or is that not necessary

No, once you're banned, it's gg. Swapping your cert for another cert, say from CDNSP, will avoid getting your cert banned. Doesn't help if that cert is banned already or if you're banned already.

Pretty sure sx os doesn't let you install anything without a license, so no. Why not just use ReiNX ?

you mean atmosphere probably. as hekate is a custom bootloader and not a cfw, you can also boot ReiNX with hekate, custom bootloader + cfw is a good deal.
