Does ocarina {The cheat system} Work on the backup loader V0.3 gamma? If so how do i use it?
 
Ocarina is working flawlessly for me. Just make sure the codes you are using are for the same region as the game and you should be fine. Also games that have had more than one printing may require different codes based on the version (wii play is one example)

Oh really? i was under the impression that it wasnt working.... ok thanks for the tip... ill go and reconfigure my codes and report back...

i have 1:1 of pal and ntsc mario kart so ill tell you guys what happens
 
Duh im stupid forgot to mention that ocarina still does not seem to function under GC hook so set it to vi if you want to cheat. lol
 
Paper mario(J) doesnt work on my NTSC J wii.
On loading disk there shows "found sd code, applying", but nothing change in game.
The code works fine with .3 beta.

see digitydogs reply above - VI is no longer the default hooktype so you will need to change it if you want codes to work.

I always manually set the hooktype to VI (it seems the most compatible to me) so cheats worked fine.
 
Hey guys, I was playing Manhunt 2 with the uncensoring code on backup loader 0.3 and everything was fine, however now the code doesn't work when I use the Gamma Backup Loader. So does anyone have a fix?

(PS: I hate starting new threads/adding replies, I looked around for a while for a fix and didn't find one so any help would be great)
 
Come on, read the thread. Enable Ocarina and change hook type to VI.

Sorry about that, I didn't realize the hooktype was the problem, Ocarina works now. Thanks anyway for the reply, zerof.

PS: What does the hooktype do anyway?
 
It just has to do with how code is run through the launcher I think. Cheats will only work with VI.
 
Alright, so I know how to get Ocarina set up for use, I just need to know where to put it on the SD card to get Backup Loader to recognize it. I've searched around, and I can't find any specific info as to the directory structure it needs. Like do I put it on the root of the card, or do I put it in the apps folder for HBC?

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. I put the codes folder at the root of the SD card and it worked fine. Sweet stuff.

Could someone help me ? I don't understand how do I get the codes working. I go to usbgecko.com and I have codes there, but if I download the codes.. it's a .txt file.. What the hell am I supposed to do with that ?

Someone said something about pc application, WHAT application ? Specific information would be nice, there is like FIFTY different applications on usbgecko.com/downloads page so...
 
So this will work on gamma without me having any UsbGecko programs on my Wii ?

Also, I'm not playing dirty, just looking to screw around with SSBB

.. By the way.. If I use the cheats, and save the game ( well SSBB saves automatically ), will the cheats be saved aswell so next time I don't need to load them ? ( I hope not... would screw up my save file )

Oh by the way.. When I've finished editing the cheat codes I want to apply, and I'm about to export it into .gct file, do I need to name it specifically with the game ID, or will any name be good ?
