So I want the theme that came with Super Mystery Dungeon, where would i obtain and and then how would i install it? o.o

Thanks for the help!

I'm running A9LH Cakes CFW Sysnand and I installed a custom theme. It was working. I then went and accidentally installed another .cia theme over the top of it (without deleting the current theme first) and got an error. After deleting the original theme file, I can install any custom theme with FBI but they no longer appear in the theme settings of the system. It's as if I've done nothing at all even though the data file is there in data management. Is there an easy way to restore the themes without restoring my nand? I've already installed over 50 games that I'd like to avoid doing again.

Delete all theme data under Data Management, then reinstall with FBI.

I have deleted the data multiple times already. When I go to install a new .cia file it says it installed successfully in FBI. I just don't see the themes changing in the system theme manager.

I decided to bite the bullet and restore my original a9lh sysnand and I still cannot install themes through FBI. The CIAs say they install correctly, the data is there under data management in system settings, they just don't appear in the theme manager.

These are files that were working initially. I have no clue what possibly could have happened.

Anyone have any theories as to why .cia themes no longer work? even trying through chmm2 doesn't do anything. I'd really hate to have to completely reverse a9lh just to restore the ability to install themes

So I've made slight progress. By utilizing the newest version of the .cia file of chmm2, i am able to install themes one at a time. They still do not display in the system theme manager but I can at least change it now if I like. Any ideas on restoring the full functionality of the system theme manager would be very greatly appreciated. The stock themes appear to work fine as they normally would.

CHMM2 themes are not supposed to show up in the home menu theme manager.

I appreciate the reply. When I initially installed them through their respective .cia file, they did show up there. These are the new My Nintendo themes of mario and donkey kong that are out in Japan.

Yes, .CIAs are different. I'm not sure why the CIAs aren't showing up, but it's normal that CHMM2 themes don't because they replace the "current theme" data rather than installing as a separate theme. There may be conflicting data on your SD card. If you aren't using FBI, try installing the themes using that. It should ask to remove the old title if there is a conflicting title installed.

if you want custom themes use CMM+themes you download. I don't know if it is allowed but there is a 3ds them es website with a weird URL ending you can check out.

My suggestion is that you try installing them in DevMenu rather than FBI. I've heard things that you can't install DLC very well in FBI (and themes are considered as DLC). Tried it myself and it worked...sorta.
I have this really weird bug where the themes are messed up. Like I select an Animal Crossing theme, but it displays a Yoshi theme. I later discovered that the menu displayed the themes in alphabetical order, but the themes themselves were in reverse alphabetical order. And I don't know why. XD
I tried a few things, but it never occurred to me to delete the theme data from Data Management. I couldn't find it there before, but my eyes played tricks on me; so I'm gonna see if that fixes things.
