Hi guys.

I really need some support with this, I've looked everywhere for ANY sort of information to this fault but I can't find ANYTHING on it and I'm completely out of options.

The console works fine without any issues however the bottom and top screen have these odd scanlines going through it, these odd vertical scan lines, I've attached a picture below (the top screen is similar however it's fainter to see)

Any information on this would be incredibly helpful and massively appreciated! :D now I've already replaced the bottom screen with a brand new screen and it still has the same issue, so it's not the screen itself.

.....okay so the issue isn't showing up on images OR video....so I can't show exactly what I mean.....the best way to describe is it's like vertical scan lines going through the screen really quickly.

Upload your images here:

Because you're a new user, you can't directly post html links. You have to write them out like this:

It wouldn't matter really, I've tried taking pictures and video to show what's going on but nothing is picking it up, not even video.

The screen looks pretty washed out too if that helps, it works perfectly fine but the colors are washed out and the screen is fuzzy with vertical lines running through the entire screen.

Try reseating your LCD cable connections. Also check that the cables are not crimped, bent, or pressed on where they attach to the LCD glass pieces. If the problem doesn't go away and you're certain the LCDs are not defective or damaged during installation, suspect that your 3DS on board GPU is failing.

That'll require a reflow by sending the motherboard out who does this kind of heating work. Don't use your kitchen oven unless you want to contaminate all of your future baked foods with the spiritual essences of your 3DS solder flux fumes.
