Idk about costs because I'm not from UK but I have to say that changing it is really really tricky. If you have a basic knowledge it's enough to change it however it demands a lot of patience to pass the damn ribbon cables through the ring.

The top screen is fine but has 2 black spots. I'll just swap the front plastic cover, just needs a blowdryer
