    Hi tempers,

I use a sony vaio s (svs1511c5e), the drivers for the graphics card is a customized sony one which hasn't been updated for some time now.
My question is can I change to the one on the nvidia site or will this cause problem or decrease my frames in my games?
    Thanks for you help,

    Benno

Should be able to, it'll be treated as updating.

    One's inner self
the nvidia update will not be able to detect the hardware
but you can indeed patch the nvidia updates to work
you have to patch the files once there are extracted to "C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\306.97"

    here is the patcher

From what I've heard, the main difference between nVidia drivers and Sony drivers are the optimisations made for your specific hardware configuration. Using nVidia drivers may introduce some instability as a result however, since laptop manufacturers rarely update their drivers, it should also bring other improvements or performance enhancements.
