Oh ok cool beans then. I was thinking that I had to download some type of BIOS file in order for the VMU to work properly. Thanks for helping me out.

But also, I see you guys talking about Daytona USA. When I. Try that game it takes me to the BIOS. When I select disc it gives me the "Put a disc in and close the top" message. How are you all getting that game to run?

CDI or GDI ? EU or USA ?

NullDC seems more strict for files

Tried both US and EU, both were CDI format.

Edit: Ah. I tried a GDI US version and it worked. This problem has been solved.

And I'm so sorry for another question. Every time the emulator boots, it's automatically saved as Fullscreen as a default. How can I set it to where Original is default? It's annoying having to change it every time. Thanks for all of your help.

There is a game_preset.cfg file but it's mostly the emulators one, since I'm re-changin it often it won't save your parameters. I plan to make a custom game_preset of defaut config, but that's not the emergency for now. I have Claude Code for 1 month and it's better for me to use it to fix bugs & visual for now

Is 4/3 ratio working ib every game I remember it doesn't work on Shenmue 1

EDIT : I'll try to add a default config in game_preset in next version

I've never been able to use game_presets.cfg on the Real hardware, path seems different. This needs investigation from me.

I wonder how much is programmed by AI and how much by xale007 himself, in percent?

98% by AI since the fork from the original work of SKMP (original NullDC author)

I just reorganise a bit the comment/code/names because everytime AI is doing too much comment. Sometime I test some algorythm myself to see what's the best things to do

SKMP also helped a bunch and has done stuff on his side, mostly helped by AI (on sound/ARM and Dynarec)

don't worry, I guess I had to add that to the FAQ

1rst step is to format the VMU in bios for sure.

Then you need to exit properly the emulator (+ and -)

Just test your favorite games and try to find the best setting for each game. Then put yoru findings it in the compatibility wiki.

Defaut settings should work for 90% of games.

You can boost FPS with FPS_BOOST (but it removes ALPHA/transparency) and also faster CACHE option if that doesn't make the game too janky.
The emulator doesn't support Wii U Pro Controller (as Wii Classic Controller is not supported yet), so that is limiting in my case, batteries for the Wiimote died mid-testing and couldn't do much.

What I could test:
  • Clock settings are not being saved. I even went through the BIOS first to format the VMU and set the clock, but the clock reminder is still bothering all the time. Is this fixable?
  • Individual game settings are not being saved after launching the game, which makes it a chore. Fixable?
Games I could run for some minutes:
  • Capcom vs. SNK - Millennium Fight 2000 PRO (Japan) (GDI). Very slow, mostly normal graphics.
  • Capcom vs. SNK - Millennium Fight 2000 PRO (Japan) (CDI). Very slow, mostly normal graphics.
  • Capcom vs. SNK 2 - Millionaire Fighting 2001 (Japan) (CDI). Very slow, scrambled 2D sprites.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Abyss (USA) (CDI). Very Slow, mostly normal graphics.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Insanity Remix (USA) (CDI). Not running, goes to bios.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - New Age of Heroes (USA) (CDI). Very Slow, mostly normal graphics.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - New Age of Heroes (USA) (GDI). Very Slow, mostly normal graphics.
  • Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Remix (USA) (CDI). Medium speed, scrambled 2D sprites.
  • Street Fighter III Offline Edition (USA) (CDI). Medium speed, scrambled 2D sprites.
Always used GRAPHICS LOW and RATIO ORIGINAL. 2D FRAMEBUFFER could be NO or YES, but didn't make any difference in these games.
  • ChuChu Rocket (USA) (CDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics.
  • Dolphin Blue (GDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics.
  • Mortal Kombat Gold (USA) (CDI). FMVs are completely black and slow to skip, but gameplay is Medium speed. This one surprised me the most, it runs decent and graphics seem 100% fine.
  • Nanatsu no Hikan (Japan) (GDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics.
  • Pen Pen TriIcelon (Japan) (CDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics.
  • REZ (PAL) (GDI). Not running, locks the emulator.
  • REZ (PAL) (CDI). Not running, locks the emulator.
  • REZ (NTSC-PAL) (CDI). Not running, goes to bios.
  • Virtua Tennis (USA) (CDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics and some 3D glitches.
  • Volgarr (Stable) (CDI). Medium speed, mostly normal graphics.
Always used default settings.

nullDCWii 0.45. Will likely test it again when the emulator is more mature. It was weirdly funny to run Dreamcast stuff on the Wii.

Hello ^^,

I agree with you, but it seems to me that if someone knows how to implement this, then @Xale007 is in favor of that person making it.
I hope one day someone will make that ^^.

Have a good day ^^,
