Gaming Null string passed to textbox

Not sure if it belongs here so either move the post or delete it if necessary, but here it goes.

I recently downloaded a .CIA file of Mini Mario&Friends amiibo Challenge onto my 2DS XL (before you can reply to my post below "Oh, just download it from the eShop" but it will not work as I changed the region of my 2DS XL from JPN to EUR so eshop will not work.) Anyways, it was downloaded and installed into my 2DS XL fine.

Until I opened the game. It booted up the 3DS but however, once I get into main game, all the text (except title) says NULL string passed to textbox. Literally on every text box, it says that. Anyone know why this is happening? Worked before until I had to reinstall it due to factory reset.

if your console language is set to a language that isn't present in the rom it will either default to the games main language or load dummy text, in this case it has loaded dummy text, to fix this you need to use the game region swap plugin, im not too certain how it works with luma 3ds iirc it is based on a file put in the luma 3ds folder that matches the titleID of the game

having a quick lookout seems this tool should allow you to tweak the region settings for specific titles
