Current Wii modchips don't support other region's from neither Wii nor GC games. They do however support GC games with other regions by swapping with Freeloader, but afaik that's limited to NTSC wii's, so you can't do anything with that still...

yes that will work too, you boot with the gcos for wiinja (pal version) and the eject the disc and insert an NTSC gamecube game, it will work.

Thanks

Im sold then. There's more USA dumps of GC games available

I wish that were the case with the Wii dumps *grumble*

We've got some really dedicated PAL dumping groups evidently.

I thought the Wii region is exactly like the 360.. It's encrypted within the firmware of the system..

And seeing as how the 360 hasn't been hacked to that point, I don't know how long it'll take for Wii to even get region free..

But luckily some 360 games are region free on the disc itself like Lost Planet

I can verify (with a PAL Wii bought in Ireland) that with the latest firmware and latest Freeloader as of 2 Feb 07, Freeloader DOES work.

I play NTSC Mario Sunshine all the time!
