    gg,

so, maybe this means on the Switch if I put an orange on top of the screen and hold X I would boot into the System Nand and be able to edit files?
Lol jk, but its neat someone found this unbrick method lol.

If I'm not mistaken, godmode9 can delete everything on a Game Card, including DS ones. Could we use a throwaway ds cart and erase everything on it, then replace it with the firmware?

Thanks for the info guys. That made much more sense.

This opens up much more possibilities though. For example, wouldn't this allow us to keep all units as stock, while the flashcart contain the cfw?

Not that people would care about this. But it's possible isn't it?

I'm pretty sure that's possible, considering the video showed the 3DS booting Luma3DS.

But that's not useful since you'll need the cart in the slot when the console boots (also the magnet and keypresses). At least it allows to play with NAND-fried consoles. :)

Not really, prices of cards will skyrocket, and well I can easily sell a hardmod to repair a brick cheaper than the cost of a card ;)

Does this mean that we have even more execution than B9S?

No, it's just needed for ppl that have bricks and don't want to send of for hardmod.

Also, used for installing b9 on any console. I see a hardware revision incoming or 3ds EOL. One of the 2.

    New 2DS XL :P
Then again, I feel it's unlikely they'll have fixed it in that.

Sure, its probably inconvenient. But I'll go against popular opinion and say that it is useful to those not wanting to touch their sysnand. I'm already against popular opinion by choosing to use emunand on a cfw. That extra 2 seconds boot time (or less) doesn't bother me :)

Not what I'm speaking of. In theory, this will work on this revision as bootloader is the same.

My bottom screen on my 3DS is jacked up, and it's going to cost like 75 dollars to fix it. But my top screen has a bad dent in it as well, which would make it like a 175$ fix, aka, a whole new 3DS in general. I'm wondering if I should just take the risk of buying one with a "blue light" issue on it on eBay, but I'm not sure if all of those are the same type of error. Are they? I worry.

I've looked into that as well, the cost isn't worth the risk in my opinion and how the hell you figure it will cost 75 to replace the bottom screen, lol?

Haha, yeah, I know the price is insane. However, it's due to the price I saw in a repair shop nearby. They charge 75 dollars, or..that's what they claim on their website. And to do two repairs at, it's 175$.

Considering they said "Even consoles with fried NAND, or even the NAND chip physically removed, can use this." Which is FAR beyond what most people have an issue with..

I would assume that generally bricked consoles would be fixed.

Bottom screen is $20 and I charge $27 to install them. Top screen, I don't bother with them.
