Hacking NTRBoot Help/Enquiry

Hey everyone.

So I just bought a used Old 3DS XL which is currently on 11.6 and have been reading about ntrboot on 3ds.guide for a singular device.
Being in South Africa means I have very limited options of R4 cards or carts in general.
I have pretty much three options which can be found here at r4igold.co.za, and from what I have read on 3ds.guide both the R4isdhc Dual Core and the R4i Gold should work, but before I go out and buy one I would just like to double check. My end goal is to have freeshop on my 3DS.

Please could someone experienced point me in the right direction on which card would be better for me. (has to be on r4igold.co.zal)

Why can't you buy from nds-card.com?

In any case just check the images and make sure they match exactly so you get the right card.

Yeah, nds-card ships worldwide, though it does take long as hell and they have a janky PayPal process, they have good products.

since you plan to get your card from www r4igold co za , and the choices are (1) R4iSDHC Dual-Core 2015 or (2) R4iSDHC GOLD Pro 2015 , just go with the cheapest if you just plan to install custom firmware. Just know that they both have a time bomb rendering the card useless in playing NDS games.

Cross compare that store and the hack's ntrboot flashcarts images, yes that model is capable of hacking 11.9.

If you intend to go with this model, you can bypass the time bomb with YSMenu.

I leave one last attempt at convincing you go with the much better R4i Gold 3DS Plus if you can do so, or if all you need is to hack the 3DS, you can use the 100% free Frogminer method.

mine actually does the same thing EXCEPT it just launches the white screen for a second and then goes black and a couple seconds later it goes to sleep mode saying software closed does this mean i have bricked ds mode?



if So can i format EVERYTHING even my system memory and maybe it will unbrick ds mode ive been SEARCHING EVERYWHERE and nothing helped PLEASE answer asap

Now I am not a very knowledgeable person about this, I actually had someone walk me through step by step installing CFW on my console... But I just want you to know that you can do it without a cart whatsoever! I did not use a cartridge or anything I just installed it I think my buddy had to modify a single file but that was it it was extremely easy it was either through the Sudoku game or a process called Minesweeper I forget which one... Look into it!
