Thank you cheuble for this amazing tool!

Just wanted to let you know that my switch cannot open images which are larger than 512 KB.

Since most images created by your tool were larger than that, I changed the jpeg quality setting in the python file in line 80 from "quality = 100" to "quality = 80".

Now all my images show up on the switch. Hopefully this information can be useful to someone.

This tool is great, but it's somewhat odd. Sometimes, some images show up in the album just fine, when others simply do not. I set images to an exact 1280 x 720, export as JPG with no compression, and run it through the tool. And then only half of the images show up on the Switch. What gives?

EDIT: Nevermind, it is the size. My bad for not reading the thread.

I know a lot of you were waiting for an update that adds video support. Worry not, thanks to @SimonMKWii, I have the keys, it's only a matter of time before I figure out how the encryption works.
In the meantime, I released a new version for the program for the GBATemp Bounty. Keep in mind many of the new features are still partially untested, so expect a few bugs here and there. Onto the changes!
This version features a GUI, where you can easily drag and drop and convert your files in one click. Everything is intuitive now! But that's not all. I've added a few layout options now. You can now easily convert your manga/comics scans with the new option to combine two images in one. Finally, I've added (partial) support for .CBR and .CBZ, which makes converting comic books way easier.

tl;dr: Now features a GUI, fully usable as a manga/comics reader on an unhacked Switch!

Nice update! Will use this for manga in the near future!
Also looking forward to video support. That will be very useful for me. As great as the new Youtube app is, it doesn't have everything!

Lol ok then why you here.

I'll rephrase that. Not everyone wants to run CFW on their Switch.

Yeah a plus to this method is it would work on your siwtch wether you're booted into CFW or not. since it's using the native album and video player. it's the most seamless experience too. not having to use a homebrew "app"

What makes you people think that using modded image files isn't modding the switch LOL. Will be funny when Nintendo bans you because you're breaking the TOS . Hahaha this place is a hoot.

Nintendo can't ban you if they don't know you're doing anything.
