Obviously. The Wii was designed to have enough memory to play NES, SNES, and N64 games accurately at full speed. Otherwise, we wouldn't have Virtual Console.

Well. mostly accurately, some RSP framebuffer effects are missing, and alpha dithering remains un-emulated (the pixel dissolve effects aren't emulated on Wii).

that's true.

glN64 can make that effect of pixels in Super Mario 64, but it is not implemented in Not64, check them with Mupen64 0.5.1 + glN64.

I'm aware, and Wii VC didn't emulate that effect either, but Wii U VC does, so that's not terribly accurate IMO. Not sure if the Wii can handle a more accurate plugin like GlideN64 to be honest.

Just tested m64p+GlideN64. Damn im impressed I thought Parallel64 on RetroArch was good this version of M64P is Awesome , It really would be amazing if this could be coded into Not64.

seeing it well on GlideN64 as you mention, the complement maybe emulate some things not all because of the limitations of the Wii GPU, and maybe for that reason I do not implement those pixel effects for the performance that the Wii can give.

Glide64 is faster than GlindeN64, I would like Glide64 port because it does not affect the redimiento and corrects several errors in games like goldeneye 007 that corrects the sky and other things, but if you decide that you carry GlindeN64 good they know.

Glide64 emulates most of GlideN64 does, but with less overhead, I can see that being ported and still emulates the pixel dissolve effect fine. Yeah, Rare games are a nightmare to emulate properly, but that too would be mitigated.

I think it's better to port the GlideN64 plugin included in the m64p bundle since it's a new and improved build of the original that plays more games correctly.

I wouldn't know for sure, I haven't used M64p in a long time, much less via RetroArch; the Wii has a lot more potential, and I'd love to see more accurate N64 emulation.

The emulator's here if you'd like to try it out.

Gonna try that out, but yes, I'd love to see Wii get some newer plugins.

See you in 2028...?
Hey Extrems, can you add the ability to use rice from usb? It can be loaded from usb but it cant see the ricevideolinux.ini on the sd or on usb, so the games of course don't display. This is the only request I have as I'm extremely happy with everything else. Thanks for all the great work over the years.

He's gonna add new, more accurate plugins that have never been used on the Wii, probably GlideN64 or Glide64.

extrems said that GLideN64 can be ported, but he did not say that he is working on it, and if he does, he has to re-write GLideN64 for GX graphics and the Emulator to be compatible and that will be for a long time like that with the team Wii64 that took 7 years I think.
