Would it be safe to temporarily not use a wifi blocker so I can quickly use things like the homebrew appstore? I'm worried about whether it would update or not so I just wanted to check first.
No it's not safe. Just use DNS blocking and the app store will still connect and workWould it be safe to temporarily not use a wifi blocker so I can quickly use things like the homebrew appstore? I'm worried about whether it would update or not so I just wanted to check first.

Hi you can find them here http://switch.cfw.guide/guide/blocking-updates/ or here https://switchbru.com/dns/
It's safe as long as you are very careful not to tap OK on the update nag (be careful any time you're waking up from sleep or exiting the hole menu), but best not to leave it disabled for longer than necessary.Would it be safe to temporarily not use a wifi blocker so I can quickly use things like the homebrew appstore? I'm on 4.1 as well, and I'm hesitant on adding DNS because you have to connect to a network to do so. I haven't connected to any network yet. I've already told myself to just be patient, and wait for Atmosphere and emuNAND.
I'd love to add DNS though! I just do not want that "super nag" update prompt.
I recommend SwitchBru, so you can access the Webrowser, just perform a Connection Test... In HBL you can now just open the Appstore and download your Stuff
I read that switchBru doesn't block updates? Not sure how accurate that is though as the youtube link I read it on is old. I am still able to access the eshop with switchbru so I took that as it wasn't blocking updates.

If it makes you feel any better, I've gotten "super nag" and easily removed it with a homebrew app called "Gag-Order". It did its job well and removed the super nag.

I'd honestly like to hold off from using Hekate, and wait for Atmosphere. I hear Gag Order works well though! If it makes you feel any better, I've gotten "super nag" and easily removed it with a homebrew app called "Gag-Order". It did its job well and removed the super nag.
