Not all 3DS games in 3d

From my understanding 3d wouldnt take that much programming its more or less just adding an additional cam at range x from the original cam and displaying it at the same time

Not surprised by this. The 3D shouldn't be a mandatory thing in games; it should just be an added bonus for developers to throw in if they so choose.

Is that Itoi on the right? Cue the Mother fans (myself included) screaming OMG HE MUST BE WORKING ON MOTHER COMPILATION FOR 3DS! I'm not saying that, but it wouldn't surprise me if that happened, because they can't wait TOO much longer if they're ever planning on releasing that, I don't think the Mother games would be good w/ 3D, I just think the hype surrounding the 3DS is so huge that it would be in Nintendo's best interest to capitalize on the strong Mother fan-base on this handheld.

This is no surprise. In fact, it's just like the Nintendo DS. The DS was famous for touch gaming but not all games had touch right?

We thought it would be better for developers, as well as players, if they could do as they please depending on the software, having images jump out just a little or making games based significantly on 3D.

Very happy to hear this. I know some people don't like 3D effects.

Also, when you turn the 3D slider all the way down all games "go flat." As if you were playing a standard non-3D video game.

I know some people who are really excited about the 3DS and its games but just don't like 3D graphics. This should make them happy.

For the same reason there are games on the DS that don't use the touch screen. This is as much of a gimmick as motion controls imo, and it'll be cool at first, but I really wouldn't mind some games not popping out of the screen.

It the way that they put those things together, things that other Companies wouldn't think of, that make a new thing /idea/innovation item. Can you think of another portable with 3D games on the go?
