Hacking Noob to DS Hacking

Ok so my mate got me a This Acekard 2.1 + 8gig SD card

but i havent bought a DS yet. I was going to get it like 2 weeks ago but been really busy
If i buy a Brand New DSlite will it be menu 1.5 or whatever im sorry if what im saying is really irrelevant or whatever ive been looking around and they were the biggest concerns i found

Nah, the DS lite doesn't have any firmware that blocks falshcarts. It's a DSi exclusive

However I'm concerned how much you're spending on the AK2, I think you're being ripped off. Usuing a currency converter, you're paying $84 Us dollars, £50 GBP. If you order from dealextreme you'll be saving youself a lot of cash. link Considering you're in Oz, delivery time should be fine.
