1000 series (Fat Vita) on Henkaku 3.60 previously running great with SD2Vita.

I made the mistake of commenting out the plugins in ur0:tai/config.txt.
So now I have a Vita with Henkaku 3.60 and no memory card since I commented it out and unable to create a new molecule shell icon to go back and edit it back.

I have done the R re install of Henkaku but that didn't do it.

How can I get to that file to edit it back and fix my mistake?

Am I going to need to go buy an OEM memory card just to get molecule shell to install?

I have no experience with SD2Vita but have you tried rebuiling the database from safe mode? This should make a fresh config.txt file. As for Molecular Shell/Vita Shell not being there you were advised to make a backup of Vita Shell with CMA/QCMA. You can restore it back if you did. You could also try restoring the system from Safe Mode as well. Just don't reinstall the firmware.

At this point it doesn't even recognize the SD2Vita memory card to have anything restored to.
When I plug the Vita in to the USB cable it acts like it is continuously disconnecting and reconnecting, it's really gd wierd.

What you could do is, make a system backup using the content manager.
That should backup ur0: to your PC, so you can extract the backup, set up the config.txt in ur0:tai, repack the backup(using psvimgtools) and then restore it back to the vita. (don't forget to restart cma/qcma if you do this)

I think that's the only option you have here, if you don't wanna get an OEM memcard.

And if you want to prevent something like this in the future you could use a tool like HBinjector to replace one of the system apps with vitashell.

I think so. all I did was go into the ur0:tai/config.txt. file and # out the plug ins and rebooted.
so now everything thinks there is no memory card and just sits there, no vitashell, no molecule shell.
I do not own an OEM Sony Memory card or I get the feeling I could just plug that in and then get shell back etc etc.

Well the thing is , if you dont have any file on the SD card then it won't show, up, you need to disable all the plugins by entering recovery mode first.
Copy the files on the system before you set up the SD2Vita, to avoid of having nothing show up. Is the SD2vita card showing up?

Nope, if I re install Henkaku via WWW browser it says "molecule shell is not installed because no memory card found"
If I go into Henkaku settings and click on the memory card connect thing it just says no card found. It just acts like a Vita out of the box except all the Henkaku stuff in settings.

I bought it from a friend already modded. I assume he must have gone a different route and had a OEM card to start with.

You can use it without a memory card once if it modded, but if you mess up the config then you would need a Sony memory card to restore the file, or re configure using mlthaku because you dont have a memory card, by default the cfw use the memory card as ux0 partition where you can install games on, using the SD2Vita it switched the ux0 to the SD card.

So I think I fixed my issue.

Loaded safe mode
Restore Device
connected to Wifi and re installed Hankaku
installed MLThaku
restarted device and now I have Vita Shell, Enso, and Adrenaline icons

Lesson learned, more backups, read instructions closer

Well now it looks like every time I restart it loses the sd2vita and the Vita Shell and Adrenaline says it's corrupt...
still not quite there yet
