Hacking No PokeBank for me...

Hey all,

So I'm hoping there's some genius out there with a magical answer to my problem. I have a new 3DS XL with emuNAND9 that is updated with 11.0.0-33U firmware. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I am no longer able to log into Pokemon Bank.

When I connect to the app, it attempts to connect online. Then I get an error message that I must perform a system update to continue. "Okay," I thought. "No problem."

Only there IS a problem. The system is up to date! So now I'm stuck. My homie that walked my noob butt through setting up the emuNAND has no answers. Please help! My Pokemans! I want to show you them!

What is your CFW? And did you update it to the latest version?

No, but seriously. Check to make sure your CFW is up to date.

So he told me I should have the latest version of Luma, but I don't remember ever having Luma. Maybe it was previously known by a different name?

Try holding Select when booting. Luma3DS was AuReiNand before.

AuReiNand? Anyways, that's what it used to be called. You can find info on updating and upgrading your old stuff here

Pardon the irony, but I prefer to use the original software. I don't mind paying $5 a year to house my Pokemans.

Same. and sometimes they give out event mons. 5 dollars is really not a lot. But no hate here for PHBank users.

Do you have a9lh, or just menuhax? If you are just using menuhax, you are going to have to make a backup of your emunand, and sd card, format emunand from system settings, set t up, log into your nnid from that nand, then restore the first emunand backup you made. This is required afaik to tell nintendo that your NNID is actually linked to a console.

Consider setting up StarUpdater, so you can update Luma3DS much more easily in the future.
