But does Gecko OS work with the retail disc (NOT A BURNED COPY!)? It should work fine.

nope. :/ usb loader gx is the only one fully compatible using 223 and ios reload blocked.

So the retail disc doesn't work from Gecko OS or from the Disc Channel, and you can play the backup with GX? This is weird. Are you happy with using GX to play the game?

How about that?

Installing a base 57 cios to slot 223, didn't "screw up all his IOS's".

Not that installing a cios to an empty slot, that doesn't involve any other IOS/CIOS, could have anyway.

Don't misquote me. He messed up his standard setup by installing something that shouldn't be there. Hermes v5.1 base 57 ALWAYS goes in 224, not 223.

I'm sorry if I insulted you, but I've been modding Wii's for several years now, and it's frustrating when people jump in and throw random suggestions out. The cause of the problem is not yet found. Running Black Ops using d2x 250[57]v6 with Cfg works for everyone but him.

I'll post back later tonight. I've been pretty sick (stayed at home all day) and I'm getting worn out, so I need some rest.

I am a noob with d2x and just recently used modmii to install to get Smurf Dance Party to work. However, now most other games seems to be broken and stopped at the game menu loading screen. Any ideas. This is the first time I use syscheck, but it is. Thanks for the help.

my advice is install system menu 4.2 and start fresh

my basic step runs like this
222/223/224 hermes

247d2x v6 with 57 as a base
249r14(nand)wan
250 is my d2x v6 with 56 as a base

If you are going to re-install the System Menu (which you don't need to as that has nothing to do with a cIOS working), why would you choose 4.2? That's just stupid.

I think the answer here is pretty simple. If it worked before you updated your cIOS, but now it doesn't, just downgrade the cIOS to whatever they were before.
