Hacking NNID problem

I've got an 3DS XL (Old one) second hand, but it has an NNID logged in on it. So far ive been playing the 3ds with it, but i kinda wanna unlink it because i don't have the password of it. However, can i do this without

- Upgrading SysNAND
- risking anything about my Gateway (I don't really wanna instal EmuNAND Again)

Also, will i lose my progress in Eshop titles such Pokémon Shuffle?

Yes it should be.
But you can just backup your nand before formatting it. Like that even if something happens, you can still restore your nand with the gateway menu.
