Smart advertising, if you want to appeal to the kids, appeal to the adults who the kids wanna be like. And the adults will like the Switch too seeing it's not being marketed as a Fischer price toy (like the Wii U) and more like a modern device.

Also: people who want good framerates from a portable console with full 3D games. I've even tried a GPD Win, and I might buy one for the purposes of a mini-laptop and light indie gaming, but everything is like 15-20 FPS for full 3D games. With the settings you have to use, everything both looks and runs better on Switch.

all that talk the WiiU flopped from a lack of effective advertising was clearly off base. The Switch rarely sees advertising and is doing well.

Erm. Nintendo, at least as of August, spent more on TV ads than any other gaming company had. I know I see them pretty regularly on NBC's commercial slots, and I have younger cousins that watch a lot of Disney Channel that tell me Switch ads end up there a lot too

Jeez, don't even ask... every single day its passing Nintendo Switch commercials on TV...

Anyway I wish nintendo ever have more 18+ stuff as I don't like basically 95% of all games, I wish they could ever make their own Forza\GT like game, more shooters, more horror\terror games and even something like battlefield, but I just wished it had more multiplatform triple A known games from PC\other consoles.

From the way its going, I don't see anything like Wolfenstein II masterpiece coming any soon, it will probably take years for something like it to come as I don't see any new game coming to PC and PS4 being ported to Switch, only some indie or crap games are ported .

What? Nintendo's stated that they want the Switch to be an "all ages" console, while the 3DS platform stays as their "young gamer" systems

those ads are total bullshit, cause I never saw fat pointdexter with acne in them.
Then again, nothing will be more BS, than MS' ad for Kinect, where they portrait it like some sort of super advanced AI akin to Space Odyssey.
