I believe that error comes if you don't have the controller.ini file on your sd card as well. I had that come up when I just had my controller.ini on my usb drive. It seems to still work in the HID test but looks slightly different.

Sorry but I already have it on my SD card as I'm not using my USB stick, so do you have any other ideas?

Using the controller with the Ps3 as i said and checking that it works fine, or just load a game in nintendont and see if it still gets disconnected.

If you still get stuck on Checking FS, try searching in google for a Fat32 formatter, and format your usb that way; then move the games folder and the controller.ini to it to test.

Okay! Well, I did test it on the PS3 and it works completely fine, so I suppose we know it isn't the controller and it's just something going wrong with the config... Do you have any ideas what is going wrong? Maybe deleting my save for MPTTYD would fix it? Or maybe I need to do the whole process all over again, or I could use an older revision?

Oops! Sorry for the double post!

To note: I've now tried revision 83, 1.0 and 1.43 and none of them work.
revisions have nothing to do with your issueeither your not using the correct controller inis or you booting it from something strange i would sugest just getting a new device like a usbpendrive and put a single game there the controller ini and the app folder for nintendont and boot it from homebrew channel try to make things simple to see if they work.

Oh! I never knew!

Yeah, I'm trying my 16GB SD HC Card now, instead, to see if that fixes it... and I'll do that :) Thanks :)

Okay! Should I download those both again?
if you want to start fully fresh then yes redownload everything lastest dol, the xml and the ps3 controller ini from there and rename it to "controller" only since the extension is already implyed, lots of ppl have issues since windows hides extensions so they end up with "controller.ini.ini"

Okay! Awesome! Where can I get a new controler.ini for PS3, then?

If you play games from SD, controller works on all ports (front and back).
If you play games from USB, controller works only on the back ports.

controller.ini need to be on BOTH game device and boot device.
If your boot.dol is on SD, put controller.ini on SD
if your boot.dol is on USB, put controller.ini on USB
if your games are on SD, put controller.ini on SD
if your games are on USB, put controller.ini on USB
Just put it everywhere and don't be annoyed later.

Everything is explained in the first post, all the installation process and requirement are explained too.
If something is missing, I'll add it.

Hi, I just downloaded Nintendont to try out the Audio Streaming ( Thanks for that FIX94 ! ) with my Eternal Darkness. I formatted mypendrive with a cluster size of 32kb , and put the game onto it using DMToolbox. I turned on Memory card emulation and started the game. Loading hangs at Checking FS. I tried both RAW and Optimised formats. Can someone tell me what might be causing this error ? Before formatting my drive I tested Ikaruga and it worked flawlessly. Thanks in advance

EDIT Oh, and I'm using the GC controller , and I'm doing it all on my Wii ! I don't have controller.ini anywhere.

Okay. I've tried it. Getting the same error as last time while using my USB, The 'Checking FS...' one.

if it hang at "Checking file system" it's something related to your file system (it should, right?)
It MUST be formated as FAT32, 64k/cluster or less, using MBR, primary partition, and the partition MUST be the first one of the drive (if you have multiple partitions).

You have only a WiiU ? not a wii? only one USB device? not a bigger SD card?
it would be great if you could test your device on Wii with a gamecube controller instead if using HID, so you can check if the issue is your device, your console, your controller or something else.

Oh! FS stands for File System. Makes sense! It is formatted as FAT32 but I dunno about the cluster thing and all of the rest... How can I find out? I'm not very good at all this tech stuff...

Yep, only a Wii U, sadly. I do have an 16GB SD HC card but for some reason, it crashes my laptop every time it's trying to write something.

Yeah, that'd be easier but I don't have either a Wii nor a GameCube controller...

Are you still using the WiiU controller cable to connect the PS3 controller ?
Don't you have a PS3 controller's official cable?

The WiiU Classic Pro USB is ONLY for charging, it doesn't transmit data. Maybe the cable doesn't have the data pin connected internally.

I'm trying to read back all your issue, as I didn't follow it from the start.

Yep, I am as I was told that it can work. I do have the official one, yeah.

Oh! And, okay, thank you for taking your time to try and help me with this issue. I appreciate it :)

EDIT: I've only just realised what you said. It's just a Wii U Pro Controller, not the Classic one but I assume that makes no difference.
