can someone who has some time to kill go ahead and test rocky and midway collection 2-3 and add them to the compat list, thanks.

So why when a usb controller disconnects it won't reconnect?(using ps3 controller)In the last hour I did the same thing about 5 times and this is really annoying.

thinking this would be an easy code
(but looking over a few projects and never having any coding education i failed to add this to a build of nintendont)

maybe one of you coder's who find a bit of spare time , or want to do something but take a break from the headache part of coding for nintendont could code in a splashscreen.png and/or background.png to the source and just comment it out, so if users would like to use one of the many pic's from HERE or make their own and add it easily to the source before compiling then we could

I was playing Super Mario Sunshine and noticed that the R button (which sprays water i guess, the most important button) on a PS3 controller from the repository is configured as a Select button. Anyone playing like this? How can I solve it?

I'm using r85 and I made it all the way to the twin snake's disc change section. It takes me to the screen and just says "Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes".

Am I supposed to do something to help switch the disc or something?

Have you tried the newer revisions? 1.21, etc? I don't think disc swapping's implemented yet.

Download the HID_Test6 from the first post, put the controller.ini in your sd root (if that's where you have your apps folder) and then run the HIDTest, check what number is changed when you press the R button and edit the controller.ini. If you need a more detailed explanation check the "Create your own controller.ini" post that's linked to in the first post in this thread.

If you launch nintendont from the HBC, when you look at the game list, it should show MGS Twin Snakes and MGS Twin Snakes [2]; just choose the 2 to load the second disc.

Thanks

Yes, I can choose disc from menu, but I'm talking about in game when it asks me to swap disc. Unless I can go back to the loader? I don't think auto disk swap has been implemented yet has it?

In any case, they should simply choose one of these if they wanted to add an splash screen to the app.. Personally, I think it's pointless to have it because:

1) the UI itself it's kinda simple already, so it wouldn't look right to have a detailed logo all over the screen, to then see a pitch black screen with a few words on it.

2) I don't know if it would affect it, but since even when you use autoboot from a loader, it will show the UI for nintendont, then it would be fair to assume that it will also show the splash screen. I think that would be bothersome to some people (like me, lol) when you've already assumed that using a loader is meant to be a "faster" way to load a game.

Thanks

No, there's no auto-swap, but shouldn't it work when you exit the game after reaching that point and then load the second disk? the memory card is the same after all.

i tried midway collection 2 (? the one with MK3 on it) and it didn't load the rom. it boots to the menu, but when loading the game, nintendont dies.

Is there a list of compatible games with Nintendont?

I've got two PS3 Official DualShock 3 controllers so I wouldn't mind using one of them to play GameCube games.

I'd like to go back to Luigi Mansion and finish it, although this time on the Wii U.

Check the first post.. That's the most basic of the basics.

ahh yes there was the winner thread , since the second had the most votes use it as default of course but leave it easy enough for anyone to change when compiling and commenting in a splash screen
1) thus the background.png as well
2)why i said 'added but commented out' , i rarely use a loader and mostly boot from HBC anyway so a quick splashscreen would be nice like most other apps while loading

Midway arcade collection 2 and 3 have been on the list for like a month. Did you even look at the list?

EDIT: They WERE on the list. i personally added them myself...someone jacked up the list.
I apologize.
Neither works.
Arcade treasures 2 gets to the game select screen and freezes when you try to select a game (but the saves worked i believe...) and treasures 3 died once you pressed start on the title screen.

You should check the last page in that thread too, I think the image in that page, #7 and #4 pics are better than the second.

The problem with the background.png is the way the text is displayed. I don't know about homebrew coding so I'm only guessing here, but I think what nintendont does is similar to printing to a console output, so adding a background would probably mean that you'd need further changes to the UI to correctly display the strings. Of course, I could be wrong and maybe it'd simply need to change the colour of the text :p

Also, I believe you could count with your hand the amount of people that actually compiles from the sources, most only want the link to the dol, and they wouldn't go through the trouble of compiling just to have a splash screen.

Jonesy47 I think you quoted the wrong post there, maybe you'd want to edit it before jade_rock tells you that he never asked about those games lol :P

a link to download the latest version...

thanks...

Check the first post.

It simply doesn't work that way, why would you disconnect the controller while playing anyways? Rather than annoying I think it simply makes no sense that you do that. If the cable is too short and it gets disconnected while you're playing the solution is to sit closer to the wii/wiiU or get an extension cable for the controller.
