Wind Waker is a little wonkey for me...
I remember in earlier revisions I got loud distorted bursts of sound when saving and loading to the MC Emu.
Now I've last tested with r18 and it works a lot better, but recently I got it to half freeze like soon as the title screen should come up and it says 3 new game options...Instead it stopped at the background clouds cycling evening, morning, day...music still playing but no menu...rebooted then worked as it should.

Maybe its because im using a class 4 card?

Mario Kart Double Dash doesn't give me any random issues though.

Added these to the Compatibility List threw out the day.

1080 Avalanche
4x4 Evo 2
Enter The Matrix (Disc 1)
Gun
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Disc 1)
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Mortal Kombat: Deception
NBA Street
NBA Street Vol.2
NBA Street Vol.3
NFL Street
NFL Street 2
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
True Crime: New York City
True Crime: Streets of LA
XIII

Seems like most problems are distorted audio, ramdom freezes mainly during FMV's, Memory card emulation not working, or black screen screen at boot.
Id still like to know how to see the logs to mark the dsp versions down.

HI,

I have a problem , I have the latest version so is R18 i think, I have installed my games on my SD card ( Mario Sunshine) , Nintendont see it so I run it. I see on the screen -3 and other things and the console restarts in mode wii u everytime.
I have try HIDTest and my controller is compatible.. the value change.

I have a gamecube controller with a usb adapter, I connect in front of the console. When i open the file ndebug.log on my sd card is show :

ES:HIDInit() failed
0x00000000:0x00000000 0x00000000
0x00000004:0x00000000 0x00000000

and other lines like this.

Nintendont isn't recognizing your controller correctly. therefore it won't boot. Which controller.ini are you using is it the proper one for you controller? verify and make sure it is named controller.ini in the root of your sd card.

Yes i have controller.ini on my sd card in root.. I have not found the controller.ini for gamecube can you help me? I took the ps3 controller.ini in the integrated zip.

I'm not sure if one is made or if HIDtest will recognize the usb to game cube controller adapter you have. do you have an old ps2 or ps3 controller or a logitech usb controller. those are supported.
Run HID test from the downloaded alpha pack on page 1 , run the HID test as this page suggests to see if your controller and setup will work correctly with Nintendont.

from page 1 i see Trio Linker v1 (GC, DC, PS) is working have you tried it ?

Are there any games that have sound? So far the three games I tested have garbled sound; Soul Calibur 2, Sonic Adventure 2 and the Mega Man X Collection. Maybe I did something wrong? I mean, all three games booted up, which is good, but is it supposed to sound like that? Using r21 by the way :P No graphical glitches either, so that's even better!

The important thing first and foremost is there are more and more working games :D

Yeah that's not just you from what the chart is saying...Sonic Adventure 2 idk, but Soul Caliber 2 and Megaman X Collection its reported on the chart that they have sound issues. I think in later revisions the sound issues will be fixed, but now they're probably ironing the foundation out than the game tuning. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes would of been perfect if it wasn't for sound issues...when I tested.

NBA Street and NFL Street have like half working sound...bgm will play fine, cutscene sounds play fine, but the sound effects in game and cursors on the menu distort/static when the sound is triggered. It seems like the more games suffer from the same issues, the bigger fix it will be for multiple games maybe.

Okay, just double checking, but for sure, getting games to run is paramount, the other fixes will come as time goes on

When I update the compatibility list with the dsp (sound) I do it like this

~green = sound works good, very little problems
~orange = you can hear some of the sound of the game but is still distorted
~red = the sound is completely distorted, you cannot hear the game sounds at all

you can get the dsp version of the sound in the log file created if you have a version with debug enabled

Only one game so far that I tried had a graphical glitch, Burnout, and it was just the sky was random colors

I agree with you that compatibility is more important than the sound but I think that fixing the random freezes is more important

I have no coding knowledge so the best way I can help this project is by updating the compatibility list with new games, I hope you can update it as well!

I did add a game (Sonic Adventure 2, pathetic to add only one, I know lol) but changed around the sound entries in a few games to reflect other tests I ran, I'll add more games as I've some other games :D
