I tried it with mcemu on and BIOS works. I can say for sure that I'm not having any issues with Nintendont or the mod except for this now.
Thanks to everyone that helped me out!

EDIT: Also, is the Wii Theme still going to be made the default one?
I have time to investigate this issue now

as for the default theme in the masterpack it's gonna be this one

Hey Abz, I asked nicely in the Nintendont thread if an issue would be fixed, but I didn't even get a reply, let alone a reason why or why it couldn't be done. It has been 2 weeks and I'm tired of no one saying anything. Can you do anything about it in your Mod or something? Here's a quote of sideskroll summarizing it up.

Thanks!
you have a screenshot or pic that shows this bug?

Now that I could compile rev298 and manually patch main.c since it was drastically changed I have 2 problems:
1. Cancel Autoboot message displaying forever when argboot is off (pressing B works and I can get to the SD/USB select)
2. DS3 controller stopped working in the menu though the DS3 patch is applied fine

I'll not push the new dol until those problems are fixed

Sweet, that's a good theme! I'm glad you have time now, too.

Anyone running Nintendont on an HDTV would have the problem. As sideskroll pretty much summarized, GC games weren't made to run on these kinds of TVs, so it isn't really a bug. I don't have a way to take pics and show you how games look for us and how they should, but I'm sure sideskroll could whip up some comparison shots or something. If not, you can look at the pics he took in this post. You could find pics with the correct aspect ratio on Google or something.
To add to what sideskroll said in the quote I shared with you originally, I think that when game developers made games that were multi-platform, they normally just squished the games to make them in fit in the GC's original 448 resolution. A possible solution might be to add an option to stretch games to 480.

Isn't this why we have widescreen patch and wiiuwide options?

The widescreen patches aren't reliable and for the most part end up messing up the games I play graphically so I don't use them. The wiiuwide option was added so that games could be squished to the original aspect ratio of the GC, which was 16:11.2, not the widely believed and publicized 4:3. Lot of games have aspect ratios that are different, so although the GC native resolution is 448i/p, the games for it rarely were. CRT displays would have stretched the image with a slight over-scan to fill the entire 4:3 screen. Our modern HD displays show us a complete, full image, which is in most cases, squished.
I did quite a bit of research and sideskroll was pretty much spot-on. ;)

Here's rev299 theme mod
everything works fine except DS3 controller in nintendont menu (it works in games)
https://www.copy.com/s/e44LpDvVBNjzVJbE/boot.dol

I'm not pushing this dol to internal update (no reason to do so yet) maybe if rev 230+ compatibility get fixed later I'll replace the 229 dol then

* Bluetooth (wiimotes) suspends if no extension is plugged in after like 10 or more secs
* Triforce test button only activated after holding Z for 3 or more secs
* update dark and light themes with new ones
* look into video modes bug
* try fixing DS3 in 299 menu

Just to clarify, I just make a folder on my sd card and put the boot.dol in there right in the apps folder?
Forgot what to do if the file just comes with the boot.dol on its own, What do i do?

I know it's a nooby question, thanks would be appreciated :P

You also need a meta.xml and icon.png. Grab the package from the Nintendont thread and just replace the boot.dol

nothing just an svn update
Hi Abdallah,

How are you? Again thank you for such a terrific job, you are doing a hell of a job!
I wanted to ask you about this new update, do we have to update manually now? I sure love the updating within-the-app feature that you implemented. I can only update to 2.296, is there something I am missing?

Warmest regards

Pepois
