Hi all.
I have a question.
My Nintendo Switch is running very slow right now...
Menu navigation is jerky; games take longer to start, loading times are longer.
Even closing games takes several seconds..
In the data manager of the system settings, the display of the list of installed games is also very long.

I'm starting to think my microSD card reader is dead.
I changed it not too long ago.

On the other hand !
As soon as I switch the console to "airplane" mode everything goes back to normal !!!
It's strange. What do you think ?

Thank you for your answers !

I don't think so ...

But now that you mention it, I remember clicking "update console" accidentally.. I'm on sysnand/atmos.. but I canceled the update quickly.. and anyway, Atmosphere is preconfigured with dns.mitm and cal0blanking.

I also remember doing some housekeeping and using DBI's orphaned file cleanup feature... and oddly enough, it gave me some error messages...
I don't know if that could be related.

Remember, don't send your Switch to Nintendo for repairs, otherwise, they will replace with patched Switch.

OK.. I have a clue.

My wifi chip seems to work well (local transfers ok, Tinfoil downloads ok), but
problem seems to come with false-linked user accounts.

I discovered thousands of files in the "erpt_reports" folder.

If I switch to airplane mode, everything is back to normal - no more writing to the "erpt_reports" folder.
If wifi is reactivated, the whole system is very slow, and writings resume.
If I unlink my accounts, and keep the wifi on, everything goes back to normal...no more writings in the "erpt_reports" folder either.

There is therefore a problem of recursive connection attempts
as soon as one has a falsely linked user account, and an active internet connection.

Thanks for reading me.

Thanks for the post! I have exactly the same issue right now.
How can I overcome this problem besides unlinking the account? Unlinking means I will use my games and savestates, doesn´t it? I want to use wifi, but as soon as I activate it my system is veeeery slow (as written above).

EDIT: it looks like that my sd card is totally used up / exhausted, at least without it the Switch runs smoothly. I also only get maximum writing speeds of 1 Mbit/s... So if anyone else encounters a very slow Switch one should check the sd card. Mine stopped working (or at least my Switch run significantly slower) from one day to another!
