Hi everyone, my Nintendo Switch (model XKJ) with the Picofly mod has always worked fine. I hadn't used it for several months, but a few days ago, when I tried to turn it on, I noticed that it wouldn’t power on and wouldn’t charge either.

I tried keeping it plugged in without the Joy-Cons, directly into the power outlet with the original charger for 24 hours, but nothing. Then, I tried with the Joy-Cons attached, and still nothing. I also tried different button combinations, but no luck. I even tested it with a third-party charger, but it didn’t work either.

When I insert it into the dock, the dock's LED turns on and then turns off again.

Do you know what I can do to fix it without replacing the battery? Last time I used it, the battery was holding a charge very well, so I don’t think it could have died in just three or four months of inactivity.

EDIT:
I opened the Switch and disconnected the battery. I reconnected it, then plugged in the power cable, but nothing happened.
Desperate, I closed it up and placed the Switch back into the dock, and suddenly it turned on, booting Hekate and the system with the battery at 99%.

Can someone explain what happened? Could the battery/console/picofly have gone into protection mode?
