Hacking Nintendo Network ID

Hi I'm running Arm9,luma,sofv.11

I was wondering if its safe to have use a network ID to use things like Pokemon bank and mii plaza. Or is it recommended to avoid linking it?

Seems like it potentially could screw things up in future updates even potentially get the account banned. So I'm not sure it's really worth it?

Ah okay I read some stuff a while ago and I wasn't too sure. Also I'm guessing nnid can prob be deleted if anything was implemented by Nintendo to circumvent CF.

You'll get banned only if you use ilegal stuff over online, like imposible pokemons

Or if you post a lot of rubbish using the Miiverse Custom Image Tool (not on first offense, you have to be super obnoxious about it and post multiple times, annoying a lot of people).

You can't use hacked pokemon online anyway. If they aren't legal the game blocks it itself.

Not true, you can use some nice hacks, nothing absurd, but impossible things like DreamBall Aegs...

Well, if you still use the official eShop, your CIA installed themes and your hacked in DLC get wiped out each time you enter into the eShop.

If you don't have a linked NNID, that doesn't happen.

If you don't worry about the eShop, then everything is alright, you don't lose a thing.

I meant legal as far as stats/moves. i.e the game won't let you use a Venusaur with Flamethrower. The only balls it checks are cherish balls, all others are legal (AuSLove). Some events even become illegal by changing the OT, others don't. It doesn't check certain balls, or in game shiny locks either. (Perm shiny locks are always illegal) Gen 6 shiny Articuno is legal for Wi-Fi but impossible in game. I wrote an entire document on pokemon hack checks. It's not exactly black and white.

Only if you bought something or ever downloaded any free DLC. If 100% pirated then it doesn't get wiped. I think same with themes.

Huh? I had my NNID linked with no themes bought, and my CIA themes got wiped every single time.

I guess it was an old problem then, I'll try to reproduce it, and see if it was fixed, by linking my NNID again.

Did you ever download a free theme? I'm not 100% certain it also applies to themes anyway sorry

Don't worry. Maybe I downloaded the Sonic free theme, now that you mention it. I'll stay with my NNID unlinked, it's better that way for me. No use of Pokémon Bank, nor Miiverse, so I'm golden.

The only thing Nintendo cares about is miiverse modding
