Yuji Naka has repeatedly said that he doesn't want to make a sequel to Nights because it's his masterpiece. I'd hate for him to be forced by Sega to make a sequel when he doesn't want to.

In an interview in the November 2003 edition of Edge, he was asked whether he would like to develop another NiGHTS game:

"I see NiGHTS as a license. When dealing with such a license from the past it is quite a lot of work, but I would like to use NiGHTS to reinforce Sega's identity, yes."
Naka has stated that the Wii is the "perfect console" for a NiGHTS sequel, if such a game was ever developed.

Thing is that Sega has really fucked up most of its franchises when they brought them back so while I'd love to see most of its classics come back I'm really wary, especially as most of Sega's best developers have left.
